An Andalusian research team, including scientists from CABIMER, has developed an innovative strategy based on nanoparticles capable of crossing the biological barriers that protect the brain and delivering therapeutic molecules with precision. This breakthrough opens new possibilities for treating neurological and neurodegenerative diseases—one of the greatest challenges in modern medicine—by enabling therapies to reach the affected areas of the nervous system directly.

The findings, recently published and highlighted by ABC Andalucía, reinforce the potential of nanomedicine as a tool for improving the effectiveness of future therapies for complex brain disorders. Although further research is still needed before clinical application, the study places Andalusian science at the forefront of the search for more effective and personalized treatments for brain diseases.
