On 24 October, the María Jesús Vera Foundation held its fifth annual charity gala at the Real Club Pineda in Seville, with ABU Group serving as the main sponsor. The event brought together more than 1,000 attendees and has become one of the most prominent charitable events on Seville’s social calendar. Its purpose is to raise funds for metastatic breast cancer research, a cause the Foundation has consistently supported since its creation.
This year, the funds raised will support a joint research project between the Andalusian Center for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CABIMER) and Virgen Macarena University Hospital in Seville. During the event, Patricia Altea, researcher at CABIMER, and Dr. Luis de la Cruz, Head of Oncology at Virgen Macarena University Hospital, addressed the audience to express their gratitude for the continued support of their research. For the fifth consecutive year, the gala was a remarkable success, both in terms of attendance and fundraising.
