On Friday, 24 October, the María Jesús Vera Foundation will once again bring together Seville society at its traditional annual charity dinner in aid of cancer research, an event that has become one of the major charity events of the autumn.
The event will once again take place at the Real Club Pineda in Seville, and the funds raised will go towards a project of great value and hope: research into metastatic breast cancer being carried out jointly by CABIMER (Andalusian Centre for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine) and the Virgen Macarena University Hospital.
Researchers at CABIMER and the Virgen Macarena Hospital are working on an innovative line of research that studies how tumours use myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) to escape the immune system, spread and resist current treatments. This finding opens new doors for the development of more effective therapies.
On 24 October, Seville has a new date with solidarity and science. A night to demonstrate, once again, that together we can transform hope into the future.
