The group of scientists from the Progreso y Salud Foundation, at the Andalusian Centre for Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine (Cabimer), led by Benoit Gauthier, is developing a project to evaluate the anti-diabetic capacity of second-generation molecules in preclinical models of type 1 diabetes.
To develop this project and continue Gauthier’s line of research, the group has the support of the DiabetesCERO Foundation. Specifically, through a collaboration agreement with the Progress and Health Foundation, an organisation dependent on the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs, this entity has committed to financing the research with €255,000 to hire the research staff needed to carry out part of the work to be done over the next three years.
