Proteomics
Description
The objective of the CABIMER Proteomics Unit is to provide a service for the identification, characterization, and quantification of proteins through high-resolution Mass Spectrometry, available to both in-house researchers and external users.
Information
Proteomics is the large-scale study of the complete set of proteins expressed by an organism, tissue, or cell at a given time and under specific conditions. Owing to the tremendous advances in its capabilities over recent years, Mass Spectrometry has become an indispensable technique for proteomic analysis, with widespread applications in molecular biology, biotechnology, and biomedicine. The most advanced instruments currently available are capable of identifying entire proteomes in a short time while offering a high analytical throughput.
At the CABIMER Proteomics Unit, we are equipped with state-of-the-art Mass Spectrometry technology coupled with liquid chromatography for the processing and proteomic analysis of samples of varying complexity provided by users.
